Welcome message from our General Principal

Xin chào.

Greetings and welcome to North London Collegiate School Ho Chi Minh City (NLCS HCMC). Thank you for your interest in joining our school. We hope our unique and exceptional status as a Vietnamese school with an international outlook inspires you.

NLCS HCMC is the only selective Dual Language Immersion with a blend of the Vietnamese and international curricula in HCMC, where we value both the Vietnamese and English languages. We will offer a curriculum based on NLCS’ principles of education: academic excellence, a diverse after school enrichment programme, and individual pastoral care centred on the wellbeing of our students.

We recognise the importance Vietnamese families place on education, the prospect of university education abroad and their child’s contribution back to the Vietnamese society in the future. We have a deep commitment to the individual needs, unique interests, and the development of each student in all areas to be successful both in Vietnam and in the rest of the world.

Pioneered over 170 years ago by Frances Mary Buss, NLCS boasts a long history of academic excellence and inclusion for both young men and women. NLCS has gone on to build on this innovative approach to education to expand internationally with campuses in Dubai, Jeju, and Singapore. Today, we are privileged to introduce NLCS to Ho Chi Minh City. Our students receive an exceptional education from the international and NLCS curricula, combined with a wealth of co-curricular opportunities. With access to some of HCMC’s best arts and sports experts, including Soul Music and Performing Arts Academy, Vietnam Contemporary Visual Arts Academy (VCVAA), and Vietnam International Institute of Sports (VIIS), excellence and creativity are fostered as our students become critical thinkers.

In addition, we use our campus, HCMC, and Vietnam as our base and the rest of the world as our learning environment. At times, when we are unable go out into the world, we bring the world to our students. Our school places value in diversity, equity, and inclusion with emphasis on recruiting the best educators in the world to reflect our student population and those who appreciate the complexity of the Vietnamese language and the richness of the Vietnamese culture. All foreign teachers are expected to study culture and language while in Vietnam in order to better understand cultural nuances to be able to tailor their teaching to the specific cultural needs of their students and connect with the parent and local community.

If you are in the HCMC area, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We invite you to join one of our admissions informational sessions with the Principal in the coming months. For more information click here.

We look forward to welcoming you to our community.
